Olde Forge Tuesday Night Results
Once again good number last night with 20 runners. Top 4 were paid and it was Niall O'Connor for the third week out of 4 that won.
Niall O'Connor €220
Ciaran Connolly €130
Jason Cooper €70
Trevor Conyard €50
Damien O'Connor was the bubble boy this week (Damien did have a nice score at the weeekend though, so im sure hes not to disappointed)
Play was good overall. twice last night when all in with 7,2 off 2 players hit straights to either stay in the game/knock someone out. Niall O'Connor only arrived just before the break but ran well even when his hand was behind only to come out on top.
This game has been getting steady numbers and every week there seems to be new players with another 3/4 last night. I believe after 4 weeks there are already over 30 players on the league table.

GAA Fundraiser Friday Night
Just a quick note from last Friday Night (I Know im a bit late). There was 80 plus runners paying €30 to enter. It was an unlimited rebuy tournament for the 1st 7 Levels and there was over 80 rebuys and then on the break each players took their top up too!
I was at a table where there wasnt a lot of rebuys, so I found when I was moved I went onto a table where I was 3-1 down due to that table being chaotic earlier on and going all-in nearly every hand. A lot more chips were in circulation. The final 9 got paid, with the top 3 chopping for €650 each. Damien O'Connor and 2 other guys from Arklow where the top 3.
A cash game with 2 full tables did get going and ran until after 2am. Overall the night was a big success for the County Footballers, as it was for their training fund, Which raised well over €5k!
Well done to Conor Hogan and his team who made sure everything ran smooth on the night.

Wednesday Night Poker
Kicking us off is Star Poker Bray and their €20 (15 plus 5 reg)Freezeout tournament. Kicking off at 8.00pm, you can late reg up to the end of the break at 9.30pm. Blinds are 15 minutes and you have a 10k starting stack. Refreshments available throughout and sambos served at the break (30 minute break from 9-9.30pm). Ive said it before and I will keep saying it, the busiest tournament night around wicklow as lately there have always been 70 plus players. Very rarely does this game go below 50 players. I dont know if its because of the €20 buy in, or maybe the sambos on the break do the job. Usually only deepstack/monthly games anywhere get numbers so big!!
Cash Games Available around 10 o'clock and the tables fill up very quickly. blinds 25/50c, rake is 3% once a flop is seen and capped at €3. Usually fills the 2 tables.
There is another game in Sally O'Briens in Arklow. I have been told its a €50 freezeout, with a 15k starting stack and early bird chip of 1k if your there before 8. Its been run by DR Poker (james/Miley).
Finally Whistlers Bar in Wicklow Town,
have a €20, plus 2 €10 top ups tournament. Starting stack could be 5k. Blinds are 15 Mins, and usually gets 10 plus players. This game used to be run by Ian McDonald of Donkey Poker Tour, but Ian has moved to pastures new and 2 Guys have taken up the reins. This is now run by Conor Hogan, who runs a good game and knows his stuff when it comes to Poker. When there is enough players a cash game usually gets going. (Can get a bit wild)! This week is the last week of the league that is currently running there.
15 points are required to qualify although we may lower to 12 depending on numbers.
The League final will be a €50 freezout which shall have €400 added its €50 in and 15 points gets you a 10k starting stack every point after that gets you 200 chips so you have 20 points you have an 11k starting stack. blinds will be 15 minutes and the final shall be held on the 12th of September.
Good luck at the tables.

Star Poker "Poker Team"
Here is a picture of the Team, that look after everyone in Star Poker. Marcin the manager is Dead Centre Front Row. When Marcin is not there David runs the show and is a pretty good tournament director. Ive seen some calls he has had to make and he has been spot on.
Some of the dealers are pretty good players themselves, Back Row you will usually see Sean H, Sean R, Ben & Guilio play, and down front Callum, Shauna & Joe. To be honest I think they all play but the ones Ive mentioned I have come against and are good players.
Good Picture and keep up the good work.
