Wicklowpkrscene Deepstack Sunday results
Congratulations to Alan Jordan who won the annual Christmas Deepstack tournie in the Grand Hotel Wicklow. Alan took top prize of €960 for his troubles and deserved his win as he was solid all day. When he needed to fold he folded and when he went All in or called an all in, he got it in good.
2nd place went to Karl McBride who had a very good run and won €670, Rowan van Embden got 3rd for €440, Kevin Malone 4th for €220 and Jim Connors 5th for €100.
The very last hand was an interesting one as Rowan pushed with 3s, Karl tanked for a while and finally shipped holding 7s. Alan snap called with Ace, Queen and spiked a Queen on the turn to take the win.
Thanks to all the players who showed up and thanks to the dealers Darek, Niall, Jacob & John.

Sunday Poker
€100 Entry (€85 plus €15 reg)
Fully Dealer Dealt, Food on the break with a starting stack of 30k. Blinds 25 mins before the break and 30 minutes when you return (20 min break). The bar will be open in the Friar Suite and there is also a food menu if you feel peckish!
I have included Antes in the structure to entice some action, especially with the blinds being so long. I dont think we will hit blinds of 50000/100000 but I have included them for all to see.
Christmas Jumpers and Christmas Hats are a must!! (Joe Baker one of the only men last year to wear them!!) Good man Joe
Finally for those who want to try get into the game cheap, Ill be running full table €10 per man satellites (No reg like most places do). Theres a choice of 2 game, Omaha or Hold'em. Simply one hand will be dealt face up and the winner has the buy in for the tournament. If its a thing where there are 6/7 even 8 players same rules apply the winner gets the pot to put towards his/her entrance fee. Its for the players who want to try get into the game on the cheap and im sure this will interest a good few of the players!
Also There more than likely will be a cash game afterwards and depending on requests we will run a NLH game and an Omaha Game.
If its a thing where 2 cash games get going, one table will be 50c/€1 and the 2nd table will be €1/€2. Last year the cash game was quite big with some pots over €200.
Last year Dave Walsh & Jason O'Brien chopped the main game for €850 each with the top 7 getting paid. we had over 40 runners in a nice relaxed venue with a great atmosphere. Im not just plugging the game, ask any player that played last year who didnt enjoy themselves!
Depending on time and numbers, if theres interest there will be a turbo side game later in the day. €20 freezeout, small stack and shorter blind levels. (this i will confirm)
Finally the Structure of the game is as below:
Also;
StarPoker Bray, Kicks off at 8.00pm and you can register up to the end of the break at 9.30pm. Buy in is €20 (15 plus 5 reg). 10k starting stack and a 15 minute clock. Refreshments served throughout and sambos served on the break.
Cash Tables available when enough players are around to start. blinds are 25/50c, 10% rake once a flop is seen and capped at €3 per pot. I think the minimum you can buy onto cash for is €25 and the maximum has been increased to €300.
