Whistlers Thursday Night Results
Congratulations to Bill Redmond and Brian Connolly who split last nights game in Whistlers Wicklow. Both players received €150 each. with Stpehen Tierney 3rd for €40 and Jason Cooper 4th for €30. Best hand of the night was Stephen Tierneys quad 7s.
Friday Poker
Its the weekend and action for tonight as follows:
Doyles Rathnew, starts at 8.00pm. Seems to usually get 2 tables. Starting at 8.30pm sharp €20 buy in with unlimited rebuys up to the break with a top up available at the break. Refreshments will be provided on the night.
The Kennedy inn, Newtown. Starts at 8.00pm, buy in is €20, with a €20 top up. early bird chip of 2k if your there before 8. Starting stack of 10k and a 20 min clock. The topup/rebuy is also for 10k. Consistently getting 2 tables now. Best hand of the night also gets free entry for the following week.
Star Poker Bray, have their €25 (20 plus 5 reg) double chance tournie. Bust or be knocked out before the end of the first break at 9.30pm and you can rebuy for a further €25. Starts at 8.00pm and you can late reg up to 9.30pm. Starting stack of 10k, 15 min blinds and lately having been getting 60/70 runners (as busy as the wednesday Night game) with a very decent prizepool (Usually over €500 up top). Refreshments available throughout and hot food served at the break.
Cash tables run until late and usually have 2 going. 25/50c blinds. 10% rake once a flop is seen, capped at €3 per pot, again the 2 cash tables usually fill up fairly fast.

Finally Whistlers Wicklow Town
Starting at 8pm, all money taken in paid out on the night. €20 buy in with 2 €10 top ups/rebuys. starting stack 6k, blinds 15 minutes. Rebuys €10 for 6k or if you get to the break without taking a rebuy yopu can get 13k for €20. 1000 early bird chip if your in your seat for the 1st hand and 500 if you confirm by text by 7pm. The league prize pool will be created by taking €1 from each player’s entry fee every tournament and Star Leisure Poker Room will donate another €1 per person each tournament to double the prize pool. Star Leisure Poker Room will guarantee a prize fund of €750.

Tuesday Poker
Only the 1 live game tonight
Jacobs well Rathdrum have their usual game. Each week they alternate between 2 games. 1 game is a €50 freezeout. starting stack is 62k (you are reading this correctly), blinds are 15/20 mins. no money kept behind all is paid out in prizefunds. starts at 9.00 and can run for a while with a stack this big!! This game can get 2 tables. Also one point to note is, i have played this game and sometimes in different places, they have different rules and this is one such place. Nothing major, just in relation to raising/blinds etc! otherwise a good game with some very nice people.
Their 2nd game is €30, with a €10 rebuy only for the first 3 levels. starting stack is not as big, i believe its around the 20k mark, and blinds are as above 15/20 mins. Top up also allowed at the break.
Pot Limit cash game also runs when enough players are knocked out of the game.
Finally, Tonight in Star Poker Bray, there is a benefit night for Jim Connors. It starts at 8pm, Buy ins are €20 with €10 rebuys up to the break and 1 €10 add on (I think the starting stack and rebuys are all 5k)

Jim Connors Benefit Tournament
As most people are probably aware by now, Jim Connors, a well liked and local poker player has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. Jim would be one of the more well liked guys on the poker table and not too many people would have a bad word to say about him.
Tomorrow night the 7th October, in Star Poker Room Bray, they are very kindly running a benefit night for Jim. It starts at 8pm, Buy ins are €20 with €10 rebuys up to the break and 1 €10 add on (I think the starting stack and rebuys are all 5k)
I would be expecting a fairly big crowd for this as a lot of Jims friend etc will be travelling for the game. (By the way, Jim himself doesnt know about the game, his brother is bringing him along!)
There will be lots of prizes including :
Free Tournament Entries, Restaurant Vouchers and much more.
We would appreciate as much support as possible.
Also a big thank you to a few lads from Big September & Scotty O Neill who will be dropping in to play a couple of songs on the night!
