SCENARIOS (PARTICIPATION REQUIRED)
This is something im trying out and need some participation off all players/readers of this blog. Im going to list 3 scenarios/Situations and need a response to each. You can comment here or email me the comments. I have asked 2 pro players their outlook on the same scenarios and will post their replies next week to show how they think. It will be interesting to see how players think.
Question 1.
Can you tell me how you would have played this hand! UTG pushes for €18k, blinds are 1500/3000. UTG had pushed 3 hands before and shown a high ace. Utg plus 1 folds and Utg plus 2 tanks for ages, with 5 still to act and eventually pushes. He pushed with ace queen. Few factors here, the guy pushing is going in with nothing less than a pair, and ace jack and above. We are 3/4 off the money as well. What would you do in this spot?
Question 2.
Holding ace king should you always raise? Ie if there is a raise before you act should you reraise. Yes/no and why?
Question 3.
Finally holding suited connectors should you raise? Or should you call a raise and if so up to how much? How do you play suited connectors?
This is nothing 2 serious but every player has a different way of thinking. This is something to show how each player thinks and like i said ill post all answers and then post the 2 Pro's answers to show you how they evaluate the above. If anything it may help you tighten up certain aspects of your game.
Thanks.

Tuesday Night Poker
Jacobs well Rathdrum have their usual game. Each week they alternate between 2 games. 1 game is a €50 freezeout. starting stack is 62k (you are reading this correctly), blinds are 15/20 mins. no money kept behind all is paid out in prizefunds. starts at 9.00 and can run for a while with a stack this big!! This game usually gets 2 tables. Also one point to note is, i have played this game and sometimes in different places, they have different rules and this is one such place. Nothing major, just in relation to raising/blinds etc! otherwise a good game with some very nice people.
Their 2nd game is €30, with a €10 rebuy only for the first 3 levels. starting stack is not as big, i believe its around the 20k mark, and blinds are as above 15/20 mins.
Pot Limit cash game also runs when enough players are knocked out of the game.
Finally there is an online satellite to Star Poker Bray's €220 game in May on Irish Eyes poker & free entry online tournament with 2 €25 tickets guaranteed to any live event in Star Poker. Go to WWW.STARLEISURE.IE and go to the Poker room section and here you will find step by step instructions to register/enter.
