Happy Christmas & A Happy New Year

Its been a long year!!!!

A very Happy Christmas and New year to all the readers and contributors of the blog. This year im finishing up my posting early and logging off until early in the new year (work commitments and time consumption)

Before I log off a big thank you to the following people:

and finally and a big thank you to Martin, Dave, Mick and the crew in Star Poker Bray for their continued support and reports & pictures. In fairness the blog would be fairly quite without the reports for the 6 days Star are open.

We will have to see what the new year brings. Nearly 2000 posts and 55000 views later, certain elements of the blog are very time consuming,tedious & to be honest frustrating. More player interaction wouldnt go amiss but we can only do what we can!

Anyway thanks for the support and Ill hopefully be back in the new year.

Sunday Poker

2 games today and first up is the Wicklowpkrscene Xmas Deepstack in the grand Hotel Wicklow.

This Sunday the 14th December 2014 in the Grand Hotel Wicklow. Buy in €100 (80 plus 20 reg) Starting stack of 30,000, 30 min blinds, dealer dealt and food served at the break. Cash tables available. Early Bird chips of 2k available for the first level only. Full stack available for all players who late reg!

Like last year the game is down as a freezeout. Im not a fan of re-buy/re-entry tournaments especially so close to christmas as I also feel (especially down this way) it deters some people from playing. Last year 2 players were knocked out before the break and asked to re-enter, and the majority decision from the players was to allow them re-enter.

Last year Alan Jordan won the main game for just under €1000 with the top 5 getting paid. We have had over 35 runners for the last 2 years Ive ran this game, its has a great turnout and great atmosphere, So hopefully see a few new faces along with the same old ones!!!

Depending on time and numbers, if theres interest there will be a turbo side game later in the day. €20 freezeout, small stack and shorter blind levels. (this i will confirm)

Finally from 8pm there is the usual €20 Tournament in Star Poker Bray. Late reg up to 9.30 pm.
Starting stack of 10,000 chips,15 minute clock. Refreshments available during the tournament
Complimentary food served at the break
