Newtown Friday Night Results
Eleven players took part in the Friday game at MKI giving a jackpot of €420. Dominic Leech and Keith Doyle chopped the top two prizes and got €165 each. Third was Dave Brewster on €70, and fourth was Gemma Losek on €20. Keith Doyles house of Aces full Jacks was the best hand of the night so he gets a free buy in next week. This weeks turkey voucher, sponsored by MKI was won by Robert Nolan. Many thanks to MKI. Last turkey up for grabs next week.
Whistlers Wicklow Thursday Night Results
Congratulations to Johnny Dunne who won Thursday Nights game in Whistlers Wicklow. 2nd was Bill Redmond, 3rd was Dwaine Cooper and 4th Paddy Kavanagh. Total prize pool €430. Best hand before the break was Dwaine coopers house of Kings for €20. Next week will be the xmas league final.

This Sunday the 14th December 2014 in the Grand Hotel Wicklow. Buy in €100 (80 plus 20 reg) Starting stack of 30,000, 30 min blinds, dealer dealt and food served at the break. Cash tables available. Like last year the game is down as a freezeout. Im not a fan of re-buy/re-entry tournaments especially so close to christmas as I also feel (especially down this way) it deters some people from playing. Last year 2 players were knocked out before the break and asked to re-enter, and the majority decision from the players was to allow them re-enter.
Last year Alan Jordan won the main game for just under €1000 with the top 5 getting paid. We have had over 35 runners for the last 2 years Ive ran this game, its has a great turnout and great atmosphere, So hopefully see a few new faces along with the same old ones!!!
Depending on time and numbers, if theres interest there will be a turbo side game later in the day. €20 freezeout, small stack and shorter blind levels. (this i will confirm)

Doyles Rathnew, starts at 8.00pm. Seems to usually get 2 tables. Starting at 8.30pm sharp €20 buy in with unlimited rebuys up to the break with a top up available at the break. Refreshments will be provided on the night. The Christmas League is in full effect here. I think you have to play 7 of the 12 weeks to qualify for the final night. tonight could be the 10th/11th week.
The Kennedy inn, Newtown. Starts at 8.00pm, buy in is €20, with a €20 top up. early bird chip of 2k if your there before 8. Starting stack of 10k and a 20 min clock. The topup/rebuy is also for 10k. Consistently getting 2 tables now. Best hand of the night also gets free entry for the following week. Dom Leech Royal Flush was best hand last week.
Star Poker Bray, have their €25 (20 plus 5 reg) double chance tournie. Bust or be knocked out before the end of the first break at 9.30pm and you can rebuy for a further €25. Each week they alternate between 2 games. 1 game is a €50 freezeout. starting stack is 62k, blinds are 15/20 mins. no money kept behind all is paid out in prizefunds. starts at 9.00 and can run for a while with a stack this big!! This game can get 2 tables.
Their 2nd game is €30, with a €10 rebuy only for the first 3 levels. starting stack is not as big, i believe its around the 20k mark, and blinds are as above 15/20 mins. Top up also allowed at the break.
Pot Limit cash game also runs when enough players are knocked out of the game. (Sometimes)
