Friday Night Poker
THE WEEKEND IS UPON US.......................
Tonight the 10th August in the Arklow Bay Hotel. €30 buy in, Gauranteeing a 1st place prize of €1500! The tickets are being sold thick and fast for this and there is talk of 100 plus players. I have also been told by Harry Murphy (The county Football Manager) providing it runs well, this could be made into an annual event. I think you can buy in on the night so if you dont have a ticket arrive early to make sure you get in.
Starting stack is 3k, blinds are 15 mins and there are unlimited €10 rebuys for the 1st 6 levels. Conor Hogan will be Tournament Director on the Night and the game is self deal.
There is a bus leaving wicklow from the Grand Hotel at 6.30pm and stopping off in Rathnew at 6.45 putside doyles. I think this is a free bus.
Thanks to Darragh O'Sullivan who has kept me in the loop with this.
There is no poker in Doyles Rathnew or the Kennedy Inn, Newtown tonight because of the above. I havnt heard anything about Lynkseys in Arklow, but I am assuming this is not going ahead either because of this game.
Star Poker Bray, have their €25 (20 plus 5 reg) double chance tournament. Bust or be knocked out before the end of the first break at 9.30pm and you can rebuy for a further €25. Starts at 8.00pm and you can late reg up to 9.30pm. Starting stack of 10k, 15 min blinds and usually 30 plus runners. Refreshments available throughout and hot food served at the break.
Cash tables run until late and usually have 2 going. 25/50c blinds. 3% rake once a flop is seen, capped at €3 per pot.
Best of luck at the tables.
