Newtown Friday Night Results
Thirteen players took part in the Friday game at MKI, giving a jackpot of €440. Keith Doyle finished fourth and got €40. The remaining three players, Robert Nolan, Kane O'Shea and Geraldine Nolan chopped €400. Kane's Aces full Queens was the best hand of the night, so he gets a free buy in next week.
Whistlers Wicklow Thursday Night Results
Congratulations to Paddy Kavanagh & Brian Connolly who chopped Thursday Nights game in Whistlers Bar Wicklow. Both players received €150. 3rd was Johnny Dunne for €70 with Ciaran Connolly 4th for €40. Best hand before the break was an Ace high flush for Jeff Byrne.

Weekend has landed and there are 3 games tonight;
Doyles Rathnew, starts at 8.00pm. Seems to usually get 2 tables. Starting at 8.30pm sharp €20 buy in with unlimited rebuys up to the break with a top up available at the break. Refreshments will be provided on the night. The Christmas League is in full effect here and tonight may be the 3/4 week of it. I think you have to play 7 of the 12 weeks to qualify for the final night.
The Kennedy inn, Newtown. Starts at 8.00pm, buy in is €20, with a €20 top up. early bird chip of 2k if your there before 8. Starting stack of 10k and a 20 min clock. The topup/rebuy is also for 10k. Consistently getting 2 tables now. Best hand of the night also gets free entry for the following week

Garda Benefit Tournament Tuesday 25th November Star Poker Bray
Next Tuesday Star Poker Bray will run a charity tournament for Garda. This will be exactly the same as last year. The tournament will be a €10 rebuy with €5 rebuy and €5 topup. 3000 starting stack, 3000 rebuy and 5000 addon.
All money will go to charity. There are a few great prizes already. So far new 26" Sharp flat screen tv, €25 voucher from Topaz and 4 ball from Woodbrook Golf Club with more to come. Hopefully a signed pair of gloves from the 2012 Irish Olympic Squad (not a certainty)

Each week they alternate between 2 games. 1 game is a €50 freezeout. starting stack is 62k, blinds are 15/20 mins. no money kept behind all is paid out in prizefunds. starts at 9.00 and can run for a while with a stack this big!! This game can get 2 tables. Also one point to note is, i have played this game and sometimes in different places, they have different rules and this is one such place, so just be aware!
Their 2nd game is €30, with a €10 rebuy only for the first 3 levels. starting stack is not as big, i believe its around the 20k mark, and blinds are as above 15/20 mins. Top up also allowed at the break.
Pot Limit cash game also runs when enough players are knocked out of the game.
