Finally tonight the 29th November, in the Woodpecker Ashford, Ashford Rovers are holding a poker night for the senior team and pitch development fund. Buy in is €20, with €10 re-buys.

should have good numbers, usually get 30/40 players for these kind of games.

Friday Poker

Weekend has landed and there are 3 games tonight;

Doyles Rathnew, starts at 8.00pm. Seems to usually get 2 tables. Starting at 8.30pm sharp €20 buy in with unlimited rebuys up to the break with a top up available at the break. Refreshments will be provided on the night. The Christmas League is in full effect here. I think you have to play 7 of the 12 weeks to qualify for the final night. tonight could be the 5/6th week.

The Kennedy inn, Newtown. Starts at 8.00pm, buy in is €20, with a €20 top up. early bird chip of 2k if your there before 8. Starting stack of 10k and a 20 min clock. The topup/rebuy is also for 10k. Consistently getting 2 tables now. Best hand of the night also gets free entry for the following week

Star Poker Bray, have their €25 (20 plus 5 reg) double chance tournie. Bust or be knocked out before the end of the first break at 9.30pm and you can rebuy for a further €25. Starts at 8.00pm and you can late reg up to 9.30pm. Starting stack of 10k, 15 min blinds and lately having been getting 70 plus runners, with a very decent prizepool (Usually over €500 up top). Refreshments available throughout and hot food served at the break.

Cash tables run until late and usually have 2 going. 25/50c blinds. 10% rake once a flop is seen, capped at €3 per pot, again the 2 cash tables usually fill up fairly fast.

Thursday Night Poker

1st off, we start with the game in Roundwood.

Kicks off at 8.00pm, Buy in is €35 (20 buy in, 10 top up and 5 reg). If you dont take the top-up its €25. The starting stacks are 5k and the top is the same. Always has 2 tables. Friendly Game, new players welcome. This takes place in Fannings Pub.

€35 Scalp Tournament, Starting at 8.00 pm, Late reg up to 9.30 pm, Starting stack of 10,000 chips, 15 minute clock, Buy in €20 + €10 scalp + €5 reg fee, usually get 30 plus runners for this game. winner can sometime end up with €60 more with the scalps!

Refreshments available during the tournament, Complimentary food served at the break.

Finally Whistlers Wicklow Town

Starting at 8pm, all money taken in paid out on the night. €20 buy in with 2 €10 top ups/rebuys. starting stack 6k, blinds 15 minutes. Rebuys €10 for 6k or if you get to the break without taking a rebuy yopu can get 13k for €20. 1000 early bird chip if your in your seat for the 1st hand and 500 if you confirm by text by 7pm. Best hand before the break also gets €20 (providing there is more than 8 players)last few weeks has been 2 tables
The new Christmas League has started. Play 4 out of the 7 weeks to be eligible to play in the €400 added game on the 18th December. Tonight is week 5 of the league

TOURNAMENT LEAGUE

For 9 weeks Star Leisure Poker Room will run a Wednesday Tournament League from 5th of November up to 17th of December. Over These 7 nights players will receive points according to what position they finish in. The 5 players with the most points will receive a cash prize on Wednesday 17th December 2014 (Christmas Party Night).

The league prize pool will be created by taking €1 from each player’s entry fee every tournament and Star Leisure Poker Room will donate another €1 per person each tournament to double the prize pool. Star Leisure Poker Room will guarantee a prize fund of €750.

Points system:

1st - 27 pts 6th - 22 pts 11th - 17 pts 16th - 12 pts 21st - 7 pts 26th - 2 pts
2nd - 26 pts 7th - 21 pts 12th - 16 pts 17th - 11 pts 22nd - 6 pts 27th - 1 pt
3rd - 25 pts 8th - 20 pts 13th - 15 pts 18th - 10 pts 23rd - 5 pts

Wicklowpkrscene Christmas Deepstack Tournament 14th December 2014

Im running the usual Christmas Deepstack game on the 14th December 2014 in the Grand Hotel Wicklow. Buy in €100 (80 plus 20 reg) Starting stack of 30,000, 30 min blinds, dealer dealt and food served at the break. Cash tables available.

Ill post more details of blinds etc later on in the week.

Like last year the game is down as a freezeout. Im not a fan of re-buy/re-entry tournaments especially so close to christmas as I also feel (especially down this way) it deters some people from playing. Last year 2 players were knocked out before the break and asked to re-enter, and the majority decision from the players was to allow them re-enter.

Anyway last 2 years Ive ran this game its had a great turnout and great atmosphere, So hopefully see a few new faces along with the same old ones!!!
