Saturday Night

Okay folks, tonight 1 tournament to make you aware of and you guessed it, its in Star Poker Bray.

Its the same as the Friday Night Tournament. Its the €25 (20 plus 5 reg) rebuy tournament. Bust/Knocked out before the end of the break and you can re-enter for a further €25. Kicks off at 8.00pm, late registration up to the end of the break at 9.30pm, starting stack of 10k and blinds 15 mins. Refreshments available throughout, and hot food served at the break.

Cash Tables available when enough players have been knocked out. blinds are 25/50c, and the rake is 10% once a flop is seen capped at €3 per pot.

Good luck at the tables.

Friday Night in Newtown

Congrats to Jason O'Brien & Geraldine Nolan who split pot for €250 each. 18 Players showed up and all buy-ins was paid out in prizefund.

Some Pictures of the action:

Dave had raised here for 20k and robert pushed for 44k!

Judging by the picture, a)either dave is being needled for not calling a further 24k or b) he is bluffing his pants off (judge yourself by the smile)or c) he is playing supertight

Finally, there is nothing worse than set over set. Lee's set of 2s beaten by Geraldine set of 7s, with a straight draw on the board. Lee was drawing to an 8 as Geraldine hot her set on the turn only for lee to hit his lower set on the river.

Thanks to clif for the pictures and small report.

WSOP

I posted when the WSOP started and we are half way through already. The big news is that Phil Hellmuth has just won his 12th bracelet. (Hes going to have to change a lot of his gear as they all have PH11 on them!!!)

Phil Ivey & Todd Brunson have had 2nd Place finishes and I noticed today that John O'Shea is running deep and well in the latest Omaha tournament, best of luck John.

A lot of players seem to miss the first half of the WSOP and only travel for the later stages, for what reason I dont know, maybe its pure burn out playing every day from the start or maybe its the Bankroll, which is why a lot have staked themselves for the main event.

With poker you never know who will win, which is the best thing, so feel free to post who you think will win the WSOP Main Event. PH may not be a bad bet, but im going to stick my neck on the line and go with Daniel Negreanu!!

You can follow all the action if your interested at www.wsop.com
