Saturday Night Poker

Star Poker Bray is on tonight and its the same tournament as a Friday Night "the double chance tournament. Be knocked out or go bust before the end of the break and you can rebuy again for €25 (20 plus 5 reg). Starts at 8.00pm and you can register up to 9.30pm. Blinds are 15 mins and a 10k starting stack. Refreshments served throughout and hot food served at the break. probably get 30 plus again as its the only game on around Wicklow.

Cash Tables available when enough players are around to start. blinds are 25/50c, 10% rake once a flop is seen and capped at €3 per pot. The minimum you can buy onto cash for is €25 and the Maximum has been increased to €500.

Newtown Friday Night Results

With quite a few regulars away for the bank holiday weekend, only seven players took part in the Friday night game in MKI. Winner on the night was Lee Lofts who got €140. Second was Geraldine Nolan on €80, and third was Joanne Gallagher on €40. Joanne's house of Kings full nines was the best hand on the night and Joanne gets a free buy in next week.

Whistlers Thursday Night Results

Congratulations to Paddy Kavanagh & Trevor Conyard who chopped last nights game in Whistlers Wicklow. Both players took €140 each with Johnny Dunne 3rd for €40. Best hand before the break was Queens full of 8s for Dougie and he got €20 for his troubles.

Congratulations to Dale Cowley, Adrian Connick and Paul Doyle who all won tickets in last nights satellite for the €220 Super Star Sunday Tournament on 17th November. Well done!!!

Star Poker Wednesday Night Results

Congratulations to Rob Lawless and Keith Clucas who split Wednesday's €20 Freeze-Out Tournament. With 69 players top place paid €357 and the top 7 were paid. The two lads played one hand face-up to decide who got top points for the league with Rob getting first place.

Friday Night Poker

Its the Long Weekend & Action for tonight as follows:

Doyles Rathnew,

starts at 8.00pm. Seems to usually get 2 tables. €20 buy in and a starting stack of 2.5k and a 20 min clock. You can rebuy/topup 3 times and if your gone before the break you can buy a deadstack and the 3 topups for €50. All money taken in on the night goes back out in the prizefund. Also tonight is week 6 of the christmas rollover, You must play 7/13 nights to qualify for the final. This year they are giving a bonus of 1,000 chips for each night in the run up to christmas you play. ie if you play 8=1000,9=2000,and so on,bonus will be given with the starting stack on the final night.

The Kennedy inn, Newtown.

Starts at 8.00pm, buy in is €20, with a €20 top up. early bird chip of 2k if your there before 8. Starting stack of 10k and a 20 min clock. The topup/rebuy is also for 10k. Consistently getting 2 tables now. Best hand of the night also gets free entry for the following week. Seems to consistently have 2 tables here.

Thursday Night Poker

1st off, we start in the Coach House Roundwood.

Kicks off at 8.00pm, Buy in is €35 (20 buy in, 10 top up and 5 reg). If you dont take the top-up its €25. The starting stacks are 5k and the top is the same. Blinds are 15/20. Hot food served on the break. Always has 2 tables. Friendly Game, new players welcome, Ritchie Cullen runs the game here.

From tonight (for the next 4 weeks), Star are running their satellite game to the big €220 game in November (Buy in €20 €15 plus 5 reg). Starting at 8pm, you can late reg up the to the end of the break at 9.30pm. 5k starting stack, 15min blinds with unlimited €10 rebuys before the break with 1 €10 top up allowed at the break. So for every €220 in the pot a ticket will be given out for the game in November. Food served at the break, refreshments served throughout.

Cash table available usually after 10 and fill up quickly. 25/50c blinds, 10% rake once the flop is seen and capped at €3 per pot. tables usually fill up fairly fast.

Lynskeys Arklow,

now have a game, Buy in is €35 (30 plus €5 reg) starting at 9pm. 15 min blinds, 15k starting stack. €5 reg gives you a free pint and pizza at the break. Seems to always get 2 tables (according to one of the local players)

Finally Whistlers Wicklow Town

Starting at 8pm, all money taken in paid out on the night. €20 buy in with 2 €10 top ups/rebuys. 500 early bird chip if your in your seat by the start and 500 if you confirm by text. Best hand before the break also gets €20.

Congratulations to Dave Walsh who won Sundays €20 freezeout . With 33 runners the top 3 places where paid and he took top spot of €248.

Wednesday Night Poker

Apologies on the delay folks, I'm working behind the scenes with the blog trying some new things hence the delay on tonight/last nights games reports

Only the 1 game tonight and its Star Poker Bray and their €20 (15 plus 5 reg)Freezeout tournament. Starting at 8.00pm, you can late reg up to the end of the break at 9.30pm. Blinds are 15 minutes and you have a 10k starting stack. Refreshments available throughout and sambos served at the break (30 minute break from 9-9.30pm). Tonight will be Week 8 of the new "Autumn League".

Congratulations to Jason O'brien & Danny Kelly who both chopped last nights game in the Old Forge Wicklow. Paddy Clarke was 3rd with Jim Connors going out on the bubble. Best hand of the night was queens full of 8s for Danny Kelly. Paddy took the most scalps with 3.

Tuesday Night Poker

2 games tonight folks and 1st up its the weekly game in the old forge.

Tonight the buy in is €45 (35 plus 5 reg plus 5 scalp),freezeout, €12k starting stack, with a 1k early bird and 1k bonus chip for texting your entry to 0868446556. Registration is from 7.45, the game starts at 8 sharp. Blinds are 15 mins with a 10 minute break after the 1st 6 levels.

Cash game available afterwards, 50c/€1, minimum buy in €5, rake 10% capped at €3 max per pot.

And Finally,

Jacobs well Rathdrum, also have their usual game. Each week they alternate between 2 games. 1 game is a €50 freezeout. starting stack is 62k (you are reading this correctly), blinds are 15/20 mins. no money kept behind all is paid out in prizefunds. starts at 9.00 and can run for a while with a stack this big!!

Their 2nd game is €30, with a €10 rebuy only for the first 3 levels. starting stack is not as big, i believe its around the 20k mark, and blinds are as above 15/20 mins.

Pot Limit cash game also runs when enough players are knocked out of the game.
