Tuesday Night Poker

2 games tonight folks and 1st up its the start of the new Tuesday Night Old Forge Poker League.

This new league will run for 20/30 weeks with €40 being taken out of the pot each week, which will give €800/1200 to the pot.

There will be 3/4 options and are as follows:

1. (There is a UKIPT Event taking place in galway in August and the ticket is for €1100, I dont think we can get a ticket for this out of the current league, so im suggesting something else, which will be agreed with players at the game later tonight)

2. JP McCann has his Mini WSOP in tallaght, usually around November and the main event is usually a €400 buy in. With the league for 30 weeks the top 3 players will be sent.

3. Finally a cash league. Whatever money is taken out of the pot, again the top 3 players after 20/30 weeks will be paid.

The buy in is €40 (35 plus 5 reg), freezeout, €15k starting stack, with a 1k early bird and 1k bonus chip for texting your entry to 0868446556. Registration is from 7.45, the game starts at 8 sharp. (For tonight only this game is kicking off at 8.30) Blinds are 15 mins before and after the break with a 10 minute break after the 1st 6 levels.

The last time the league ran a final table was played for the top 10 with 4 Fitz EOM tickets being awarded, but this time i propose a new structure to the league, where there wont be a playoff, just an outright winner, therefore the best player over the course of the league will win the ticketS.

As mentioned above all the options will be laid on the table for the players to decide, but the main point is winner takes all. no more top 10 play off for the tickets, but rather the best players throughout will be the ones who win.

Jacobs well Rathdrum, also have their usual game. Each week they alternate between 2 games. 1 game is a €50 freezeout. starting stack is 62k (you are reading this correctly), blinds are 15/20 mins. no money kept behind all is paid out in prizefunds. starts at 8.30 and can run for a while with a stack this big!!

Their 2nd game is €30, with a €10 rebuy only for the first 3 levels. starting stack is not as big, i believe its around the 20k mark, and blinds are as above 15/20 mins.

Pot Limit cash game also runs when enough players are knocked out of the game.

Good luck at the table Folks.

Old Ship Monday Night Results

10 Runners played week 1 of the new Old Ship Poker League last night. Bobby McGee came out top of the pile and takes the first 20 points. Bobby was on a heater last night, and knocked out 7 of the 10 to take the win. Reimo Reinpalu was 2nd for 15 points and Karl Larkin was 3rd for 12.

It was decided last night that the league will be run over 30 weeks and 3 tickets will be given out for JP Pokers Mini Wsop Main Event in November. The top 3 in the league will win the tickets, there will be no play off!

Best hand of the night was 5s full of 2s for Niall O'Connor.

Thanks to all who came and hope to see you all next week.

Monday Night Poker

1 game tonight folks and its the start of the new Monday Night Old Ship Poker League.

The buy in is €40 (35 plus 5 reg), freezeout, €15k starting stack, with a 1k early bird and 1k bonus chip for texting your entry to 0868446556. Registration is from 7.30, the game starts at 7.45 sharp as we need to finish by 12! Blinds are 15 mins before and after the break with a 10 minute break after the 1st 6 levels.

The last time the league ran a final table was played for the top 10 with 3 JP Masters tickets being awarded. One of the players finished 11th and I will like to send a player/Player(s) to something similar again, but this time propose a new structure to the league, where there wont be a playoff, just an outright winner, therefore the best player over the course of the league will win the ticket.

Im also hoping maybe to send 2nd/3rd to a smaller event maybe a Fitz EOM but that will be decided once the league is over and whats in the fund.

As mentioned above all the options will be laid on the table for the players to decide, but the main point is winner takes all. no more top 10 play off for the tickets, but rather the best players throughout will be the ones who win.
