Friday Night Poker

Action for tonight is as follows:

Doyles Rathnew, starts at 8.00pm. Usually gets around 2 tables. €20 buy in and a starting stack of 2.5k and a 20 min clock. You can rebuy/topup 3 times and if your gone before the break you can buy a deadstack and the 3 topups for €50. All money taken in on the night goes back out in the prizefund. Peter Porter has been keeping me informed of winners and pictures when he goes here. Peter has won 2 weeks in a row and is going for the treble tonight.

The Kennedy inn, Newtown. Starts at 8.00pm, buy in is €20, with a €20 top up. early bird chip of 1k if your there before 8. Starting stack of 10k and a 20 min clock. The topup/rebuy is also for 10k. Usually gets 2 tables and the standard of play is very high, Probably the stronger/better game on a Friday night in my opinion. last week again had 2 tables with top place paying over €300. Robert Nolan took it down last week.

Star Poker Bray, have their €25 (20 plus 5 reg) double chance tournie. Bust or be knocked out before the end of the first break at 9.30pm and you can rebuy for a further €25. Starts at 8.00pm and you can late reg up to 9.30pm. Starting stack of 10k, 15 min blinds and usually 30 plus runners. Refreshments available throughout and hot food served at the break. Think the number hit 30/40 here tonight.

Cash tables run until late and usually have 2 going. 25/50c blinds. 3% rake once a flop is seen, capped at €3 per pot, again the 2 cash tables usually fill up fairly fast.

Also a game in Lynskeys of Arklow. Buy in €35 (30 plus 5 freezeout). run by the same guys that run the sally game on a wednesday DR Poker, Im not sure of the blinds/starting stack or number here. Starts at 8pm sharp and you can reg from 7.30pm. Early bird chip for players in their seats before the game starts and 500 bonus for players who confirm their entry by text 0868095286. Cash game available afterwards to.

Below is a picture of the Royal Flush I Flopped in the cash game!
Whats the odds?? Apologies on the poor quality picture.

Wednesday Night Poker

Kicking us off is Star Poker Bray and their €20 (15 plus 5 reg)Freezeout tournament. Kicking off at 8.00pm, you can late reg up to the end of the break at 9.30pm. Blinds are 15 minutes and you have a 10k starting stack. Refreshments available throughout and sambos served at the break (30 minute break from 9-9.30pm). The busiest night in the Poker room usually always gets over 50. Last week i believe had 60 plus, although Sunday night is starting to get big numbers now. Im assuming the €20 buy in is what appeals to everyone here. A cheap tournament with a big crowd that isnt going to break the bank.

Cash Games Available around 10 o'clock and the tables fill up very quickly. blinds 25/50c, rake is 3% once a flop is seen and capped at €3. Usually fills the 2 tables.

There is another game in Sally O'Briens in Arklow. I have been told its a €50 freezeout, with a 15k starting stack and early bird chip of 1k if you confirm by text 0868095286. Its been run by DR Poker (james/Miley). Thanks to Niall O'Connor for filling me in on this.

Tuesday Night Poker

The first game to report is in the Olde Forge Wicklow Town tonight. Week 8 of the league continues tonight.

Kicking off at 8pm, reg from 7.30pm, €30 freezeout (25 plus 5 reg) Starting stack of 8k, early bird chip of 1000 for anyone in their seat by 8 and an extra 500 if you confirm by text 0868446556. Craig will text players later.

Bounty on my head tonight. whoever knock me out gets €20!

Consistently hits the 20 mark, and some new faces every week. Niall O'Connor currently leads the way in the league. Larry Diad beat John Leon heads up last week.

Finally, the Tuesday game in Jacobs Well, Rathdrum.

Each week they alternate between 2 games. 1 game is a €50 freezeout. starting stack is 62k (you are reading this correctly), blinds are 15/20 mins. no money kept behind all is paid out in prizefunds. starts at 8.30 and can run for a while with a stack this big!!

Their 2nd game is €30, with a €10 rebuy only for the first 3 levels. starting stack is not as big, i believe its around the 20k mark, and blinds are as above 15/20 mins.

Pot Limit cash game also runs when enough players are knocked out of the game. I believe they agreed on pot limit as some nights the money on the table would be ridiculous, with players losing what they cant afford!!

Good luck at the table Folks.

Old Ship Arklow Monday Night Results

Congratulations to Reimo Reinpalu who took down last nights tournament in Arklow. Niall O'Connor took 2nd and Bobby McGee 3rd. The 3 lads done a 3 way chop for €110 each. Karl Larkin was unfortunately the bubble boy. The best hands of the night was Quad kings for Reimo and Quad 8s for Trevor. See attached picture, 3 all ins:

Top 9 players at the end of the league qualify for the final table and top 2 of final table win a ticket each. Players chipstacks are calculated based on the amount of points they accumulate throughout the league and there are already 40 players on the league table. €40 is taken from the pot each week to make the money for the 2 tickets.

I will have updated league positions for this tournament later.

This is a good game and usually always gets 2 full tables. As in 1 of my previous posts, I have taken over Chip & a Chair and will continue running the game the same way Craig did. Hope to see you all later.
