Tuesday Poker
There is only the one live game on tonight:
Jacobs well Rathdrum have their usual game. Each week they alternate between 2 games. 1 game is a €50 freezeout. starting stack is 62k, blinds are 15/20 mins. no money kept behind all is paid out in prizefunds. starts at 9.00 and can run for a while with a stack this big!! This game seems to be getting double figures of late.
Their 2nd game is €30, with a €10 rebuy only for the first 3 levels. starting stack is not as big, i believe its around the 20k mark, and blinds are as above 15/20 mins. Top up also allowed at the break.

Jacobs well Rathdrum have their usual game. Each week they alternate between 2 games. 1 game is a €50 freezeout. starting stack is 62k, blinds are 15/20 mins. no money kept behind all is paid out in prizefunds. starts at 9.00 and can run for a while with a stack this big!! This game seems to be getting double figures of late.
Their 2nd game is €30, with a €10 rebuy only for the first 3 levels. starting stack is not as big, i believe its around the 20k mark, and blinds are as above 15/20 mins. Top up also allowed at the break.

Each week they alternate between 2 games. 1 game is a €50 freezeout. starting stack is 62k, blinds are 15/20 mins. no money kept behind all is paid out in prizefunds. starts at 9.00 and can run for a while with a stack this big!! This game seems to be getting double figures of late.

Whistlers Thursday Night Results
9 Players took part in Thursday Nights game in Whistlers Wicklow. The prize pool was chopped between the top 3 players, Steven Tierney, Bob McDowell and Trevor Conyard each Getting €110 each. Best hand before the break was Tom Cox house of Aces full of Kings.
Newtown Friday Night Results
Twelve players took part in the Friday game at MKI, giving a prize fund of €440. Fourth on €40 was Greg Gallagher. Ger Burke, Jason O'Brien, and Michael Hanton chopped the top three prizes. Jason O'Brien's quad Jacks was the best hand of the night so he gets a free buy in at the next game.

First up its day 2B of the IPO Bray in Star Poker Bray. Kicking off at 2pm, buy in is $250 and you must have a full tilt poker account to play. starting stack of 25,000 and a 30 minute clock. Day 1A attracted 89 players so today should be a lot busier.
Also at 8pm there will be a €110 bounty turbo. starting stack of 15,000, 15 minute blinds and is capped at 50 players.
Finally there is a Charity Poker Night on in Jacob's Well in Rathdrum. This event will be fundraising for a Childhood Development Center in Nepal, and will take place at 8:30pm. There are great cash prizes to be won as well as a raffle and refreshments are provided!

This game seems to be getting double figures of late.

Jacobs well Rathdrum have their usual game. Each week they alternate between 2 games. 1 game is a €50 freezeout. starting stack is 62k, blinds are 15/20 mins. no money kept behind all is paid out in prizefunds. starts at 9.00 and can run for a while with a stack this big!! This game seems to be getting double figures of late.
Their 2nd game is €30, with a €10 rebuy only for the first 3 levels. starting stack is not as big, i believe its around the 20k mark, and blinds are as above 15/20 mins. Top up also allowed at the break.

Each week they alternate between 2 games. 1 game is a €50 freezeout. starting stack is 62k, blinds are 15/20 mins. no money kept behind all is paid out in prizefunds. starts at 9.00 and can run for a while with a stack this big!! This game seems to be getting double figures of late.

A quieter than usual night saw only 9 players take part in the Friday game at MKI, giving a jackpot of €300. Third was Dominic Leech on €60. Ger Burke and Mark Dempsey chopped the top two prizes and got €120 each. Ger Burkes house of 10's full Kings was the best hand of the night so he gets a free buy in next week

We are back!!
Normal service to resume from Monday the 27th April. Ive made a few changes to the page, gave it a new look, deleted certain items etc. Ive some new stuff in the pipeline and will hopefully have some pictures and reports from every game around the county of Wicklow (not just the usual suspects). Also will be reporting/advising of games outside the county when asked, which happens quite a lot, so its not just going to be about wicklow going forward.
Im also going to post some questions/debates to try get some interaction within the wicklow community. The blog has been running over 2 years now and can get quite tedious/monotonous and can actually get quite annoying at times especially when all the work is being done for the good of the player (remember this is a voluntary blog, no profit made/wanted and actually takes up a bit of time between the blogging/facebook/twitter)
All i would like to see is a little more interaction. The players are there, just be nice and leave a little comment now. Ive had pro players come on the blog for free, FREE I SAY, to give advice/expertise (guys who have final tables EPT's, UKIPT's, WSOP's and yet I struggled to get questions to ask them) If i feel the same and think the blog has run its course well "all good things must come to an end" and the plug will be pulled (hopefully it doesnt get to this)
Anyway thanks for taking your time to have a read, like I said full reporting back from Monday 27th April.

Monday Poker

Starting at 8.00 pm, Late reg up to 9.30 pm. Starting stack of 10,000 chips and a 15 minute clock
Buy in €15 + €5 reg fee
Tonights game is a reload tournament. Each player is allowed one reload €20, no reg. if you are knocked out
and use your reload, you cannot re-enter/take another
MONDAY “MARCH” POKER Tonight is week 5 of the New league
TOURNAMENT LEAGUE
For 5 weeks Star Leisure Poker Room will run a Monday Tournament League from 2nd March to the 30th March 2015. Over These 5 nights players will receive points according to what position they finish in. The 3 players with the most points will receive a cash prize on Monday 2nd March.
The league prize pool will be created by taking €1 from each player’s entry fee every tournament and Star Leisure Poker Room will donate another €1 per person each tournament to double the prize pool.
Points system:
1st - 18 pts 6th - 13 pts 11th - 8 pts 16th - 3 pts
2nd - 17 pts 7th - 12 pts 12th - 7 pts 17th - 2 pts
3rd - 16 pts 8th - 11 pts 13th - 6 pts 18th - 1 pt
4th - 15 pts 9th - 10 pts 14th - 5 pts
5th - 14 pts 10th - 9 pts 15th - 4 pts
* - if after 5 weeks people in the money on equal points the winning prize will be split equally

12 Players took part in Thursday Nights game in Whistlers Wicklow. There was a 3 way solit between Keith Earls, Rob Carroll and Bob McDowell who each took €140. Brian Connolly was 4th for €40.

The weekend is upon is and we have 3 games to kick it off,
Doyles Rathnew, starts at 8.00pm. Always get 2 tables. Starting at 8.30pm sharp €20 buy in with unlimited rebuys up to the break with a top up available at the break.
The Kennedy inn, Newtown. Starts at 8.00pm, buy in is €20, with a €20 top up. early bird chip of 2k if your there before 8. Starting stack of 10k and a 20 min clock. The topup/rebuy is also for 10k. Consistently getting 2 tables now. Best hand of the night also gets free entry for the following week.
Star Poker Bray, have their €25 (20 plus 5 reg) double chance tournie. Bust or be knocked out before the end of the first break at 9.30pm and you can rebuy for a further €20 (no reg). Starts at 8.00pm and you can late reg up to 9.30pm. Starting stack of 10k, 15 min blinds and lately having been getting 70 plus runners, with a very decent prizepool (Usually over €500 up top). Refreshments available throughout and hot food served at the break.
Cash tables run until late and usually have 2 going. 25/50c blinds. 10% rake once a flop is seen, capped at €3 per pot.

Rebuys €10 for 6k or if you get to the break without taking a rebuy youu can get 13k for €20. 1000 early bird chip if your in your seat for the 1st hand and 500 if you confirm by text by 7pm. Best hand before the break also gets €20 (providing there is more than 8 players)
