Wicklowpkrscene Annual Christmas Deepstack Game

€100 Entry (€85 plus €15 reg)

Fully Dealer Dealt, Food on the break with a starting stack of 30k. Blinds 25 mins before the break and 30 minutes when you return (20 min break). The bar will be open in the Friar Suite and there is also a food menu if you feel peckish!

I have included Antes in the structure to entice some action, especially with the blinds being so long. I dont think we will hit blinds of 50000/100000 but I have included them for all to see.

Finally if possible I would like to know what kind of numbers that will be showing up, if you can tweet me, comment on the blog/facebook, text me 0868446556, or email me wicklowpkrscene@gmail.com, just so I have an indication!

Christmas Jumpers and Christmas Hats are a must!! (Joe Baker one of the only men last year to wear them!!) Good man Joe

Finally for those who want to try get into the game cheap, Ill be running full table €10 per man satellites (No reg like most places do). Theres a choice of 2 game, Omaha or Hold'em. Simply one hand will be dealt face up and the winner has the buy in for the tournament. If its a thing where there are 6/7 even 8 players same rules apply the winner gets the pot to put towards his/her entrance fee. Its for the players who want to try get into the game on the cheap and im sure this will interest a good few of the players!

Also There more than likely will be a cash game afterwards and depending on requests we will run a NLH game and an Omaha Game. If anyone is interested please can you let me know.

If its a thing where 2 cash games get going, one table will be 50c/€1 and the 2nd table will be €1/€2. Last year the cash game was quite big with some pots over €200.

Last year Dave Walsh & Jason O'Brien chopped the main game for €850 each with the top 7 getting paid. we had over 40 runners in a nice relaxed venue with a great atmosphere. Im not just plugging the game, ask any player that played last year who didnt enjoy themselves!

Depending on time and numbers, if theres interest there will be a turbo side game later in the day. €20 freezeout, small stack and shorter blind levels. (this i will confirm)

Finally the Structure of the game is as below:

Friday Night Poker

Action for tonight as follows:

Doyles Rathnew,

starts at 8.00pm. Seems to usually get 2 tables. €20 buy in and a starting stack of 2.5k and a 20 min clock. You can rebuy/topup 3 times and if your gone before the break you can buy a deadstack and the 3 topups for €50. All money taken in on the night goes back out in the prizefund. Tonight is week 11 (I think) of the christmas rollover, You must play 7/13 nights to qualify for the final. This year they are giving a bonus of 1,000 chips for each night in the run up to christmas you play. ie if you play 8=1000,9=2000,and so on,bonus will be given with the starting stack on the final night.

The Kennedy inn, Newtown.

Starts at 8.00pm, buy in is €20, with a €20 top up. early bird chip of 2k if your there before 8. Starting stack of 10k and a 20 min clock. The topup/rebuy is also for 10k. Consistently getting 2 tables now. Best hand of the night also gets free entry for the following week.

Star Poker Bray,

have their €25 (20 plus 5 reg) double chance tournie. Bust or be knocked out before the end of the first break at 9.30pm and you can rebuy for a further €25. Starts at 8.00pm and you can late reg up to 9.30pm. Starting stack of 10k, 15 min blinds and usually 30/40 plus runners. Refreshments available throughout and hot food served at the break. For the last few weeks numbers here have been pretty good and the prizepool not to bad either.

Cash tables run until late and usually have 2 going. 25/50c blinds. 10% rake once a flop is seen, capped at €3 per pot, again the 2 cash tables usually fill up fairly fast.

Have a good weekend and good luck at the tables.
