Be knocked out or go bust before the end of the break and you can rebuy again for €25 (20 plus 5 reg). Starts at 8.00pm and you can register up to 9.30pm. Blinds are 15 mins and a 10k starting stack. Star Poker Bray Thursday Night Results

Christmas Deepstack Reminder

€75 Entry (€60 plus €15)

Fully Dealer Dealt, Food on the break and some Poker gear will be handed out as well for best hands etc as there wont be enough to go around. (Thanks to Irish Eyes and Boyle Poker for this).

Starting stack 20k. Blinds 25 mins before the break (2 hours play) and 30 minutes when you return (30 min break).

There is an option of a dealer tip of €5 for an extra 5k in chips. This is optional and I would like to see what players would think of this. Not all players will take it and puts them at a disadvantage straight away as they would be 5k down in chips. Please let me know what you think!!

I have included Antes in the structure to entice some action, especially with the blinds being so long. I dont think we will hit blinds of 50000/100000 but I have included them for all to see.

Finally I would like to know what kind of numbers that will be showing up, if you can tweet me, comment on the blog/facebook, text me 0868446556, or email me wicklowpkrscene@gmail.com, just so I have an indication of numbers.

I WOULD IDEALLY LIKE IF PEOPLE WOULD PREBOOK/PRE-REGISTER BY TEXT ON THE ABOVE NUMBER SO TO KNOW WHAT NUMBERS IM EXPECTING

Christmas Jumpers and Christmas Hats are a must!!

The poker awards will also be handed out on the break if the players etc are in attendance.

Please feel free to contact me should you have any queries.

Also There more than likely will be a cash game afterwards and last night I was asked to run a NLH game and an Omaha Game. If anyone is interested please can you let me know.

If its a thing where 2 cash games get going, one table will be 50c/€1 and the 2nd table will be €1/€2.

Thanks Everyone.

Reminder : Poker Awards

The winners will be announced on the 23rd December 2012 at the Deepstack Event in the Grand Hotel Wicklow. There will be 5 awards, nothing serious just something small(piece of glass/trophy) and the categories are as follows:

1. Best Poker Venue

2. Best Game

Nominees: All as above

4. Best Cash Game Player

Nominees: Open Category

5. Biggest Nit/Luckbox Award

Nominees: Open Category

Nominations can be emailed to wicklowpkrscene@gmail.com with a nomination for each category if you like. I would prefer if you didnt comment as people can see who and what you are voting for. One vote per person per category rules apply. if this is going to be done lets do it right, thats why I have left the last category as a bit of a joke. It is a bit of fun but seeing as nothing like this has happened around Wicklow before, for the first 4 awards im asking for them to be taken serious please.

Anyone who has voted so far, thank you for doing so. For anyone that is not big into the internet I will be sending out nomination forms (bringing them to different games)so to get your vote.

Ill post the same post every week up to the event, so happy voting. Entries were going to close on the 17th December but Im going to close them next week on the 19th Instead.

Cheers.

Friday Night Poker

Action for tonight is as follows:

Doyles Rathnew, starts at 8.00pm. Seems to be getting 2 tables consistently now. €20 buy in and a starting stack of 2.5k and a 20 min clock. You can rebuy/topup 3 times and if your gone before the break you can buy a deadstack and the 3 topups for €50. All money taken in on the night goes back out in the prizefund. This is the 11th/12th week of the Christmas roll over with €200 off the prizepool being held back. Play 7 out of the 12 weeks to qualify for the final night and your chance to win €1000 (i think the winner alone will win €1000 as there could be over €3500 in the kitty!), right before christmas.

The Kennedy inn, Newtown. Starts at 8.00pm, buy in is €20, with a €20 top up. early bird chip of 1k if your there before 8. Starting stack of 10k and a 20 min clock. The topup/rebuy is also for 10k. Usually gets 2 tables and the standard of play is very high, and its a good game.

Star Poker Bray, have their €25 (20 plus 5 reg) double chance tournie. Bust or be knocked out before the end of the first break at 9.30pm and you can rebuy for a further €25. Starts at 8.00pm and you can late reg up to 9.30pm. Starting stack of 10k, 15 min blinds and usually 30 plus runners. Refreshments available throughout and hot food served at the break. Dont forget to buy in for the jackpot. Read my post regarding the jackpot as its coming to an end soon.

Cash tables run until late and usually have 2 going. 25/50c blinds. 10% rake once a flop is seen, capped at €3 per pot, again the 2 cash tables usually fill up fairly fast.

Also a game in Lynskeys of Arklow. Starting at 9pm, 10k stack, no reg 30 freezeout. No idea on structure/blinds. Usually gets 1 table at least, and a cash game going later on.

Have a good weekend and good luck at the tables.

Knock out any player and receive the €5 scalp. Starting stack of 10k and a 15 minute clock. Refreshments available throughout and hot food served at the break. Could have 40 plus players here for this game. Last night had 101 runners so with the run in to christmas this game could be a big one to.

The jackpot for each game is getting bigger every week so you should look into buying into this to. I have posted details regarding the jackpots in bray and you should have a read as its coming to an end soon and the more tickets you have in the draw the better chance you have of winning!!

Monday Night Poker

One game to report tonight, and it happens in the Olde Ship, Arklow.
Its run by Trevor Conyard from WicklowPKRscene/Chip & Chair Poker events.

Buyin: €30 Freezeout (€25+5 reg)

9k starting stack

1k early bird

Kyle Byrne took down last weeks game and will be going for 2 in a row and 40 points Tonight.

Cash game runs also, 50c - €1 NLH with 10% rake once a flop is seen and capped at €5, min buyin to cash game is €25

Tournament players are also part of a league for 2 UKIPT Cork tickets worth €770 each that takes place in February 2013. Top 9 players at the end of the league qualify for the final table and top 2 of final table win a ticket each. Players chipstacks are calculated based on the amount of points they accumulate throughout the league and there are already over 50 players on the league table. €40 is taken from the pot each week to make the money for the 2 tickets.

With over 50 players in the league, the action at the top is heating up. Larry, Reimo and Darek are nearly guaranteed a final spot already, as they have a monster lead, but the final 7 places are anybodys as its quite close!

This is a good game and usually always gets 2 full tables. As in 1 of my previous posts, I have taken over Chip & a Chair and will continue running the game the same way Craig did. Hope to see you all later.

Good Luck at the tables.
