Star Poker Bray is on tonight and its the same tournament as a Friday Night "the double chance tournament. Be knocked out or go bust before the end of the break and you can rebuy again for €25 (20 plus 5 reg). Starts at 8.00pm and you can register up to 9.30pm. Blinds are 15 mins and a 10k starting stack. Chip & A Chair Poker Events

Just a quick note to advise I have now taken over Chip & Chair Poker Events from Craig Ledwith. Craig at this moment with other commitments, does not have the time to continue running his games and we have agreed that I will take over with immediate effect.

I will run the games in The Old Ship, Arklow on a Monday Night and The game in The Old Forge in Wicklow on a Tuesday Night. The structure, league, buy ins etc will not change as Craig ran a good game, so no point changing anything. Both League games will continue as normal. Craig has built both games up and gets 2 full tables per night so credit must go to him as if the game was bad You would not get the players. I hope to continue to run the game as good as he did.

This has been something I have being trying to get into for a while, and now that I have, I am going to start doing a little more, i.e. Fundraisers etc. So if your looking for someone to run a game, organise a fundraiser please contact me by email, phone or through the site. I wont rip you off and I have all the equipment, chips, tables etc.

So I have already designed a new logo and from this moment on it will be in force!

Thanks and if you have any questions get in touch!

Wednesday Night Poker

Kicking us off is Star Poker Bray and their €20 (15 plus 5 reg)Freezeout tournament. Kicking off at 8.00pm, you can late reg up to the end of the break at 9.30pm. Blinds are 15 minutes and you have a 10k starting stack. Refreshments available throughout and sambos served at the break (30 minute break from 9-9.30pm). The busiest night in the Poker room usually always gets over 50. Last week i believe had 60 plus.

Cash Games Available around 10 o'clock and the tables fill up very quickly. blinds 25/50c, rake is 3% once a flop is seen and capped at €3. Usually fills the 2 tables.

There is another game in Sally O'Briens in Arklow. I have been told its a €50 freezeout, with a 15k starting stack and early bird chip of 1k if you confirm by text 0868095286. Its been run by DR Poker (james/Miley). Thanks to Niall O'Connor for filling me in on this. I did post earlier I wasnt sure if the tournament was on, but Niall has got a text so this game is going ahead.

Good luck at the tables.

Old Forge Tuesday Night Results

Well done to Larry Dias, who took down week 7 of the Old Forge Poker league last night. Larry called John Leon's all in with Jack 3 off and rivered a full house. John Leon was 2nd, Johnny Dunne 3rd and Niall Callery 4th.

Earlier in the night Larry was on lifeline and won a few all-ins to jump into the chip lead. Last night had 18 runners with 1 or 2 new faces again. I have said that this game will break the 20 player mark somenight as there are nearly 40 players in the league now.

The league was originally being run for the 888 deepstack tournament in Galway, however depending on the players preference at the end of the league, tickets now may be for the End of Month in the Fitz, which are €270 each, so hopefully 2/3 players will be going to one or the other.

Best hand of the night was Quad 3s by Trevor Conyard.

1st Larry Dias €200
2nd John Leon €100
3rd Johhny Dunne €50
4th Niall Callery €30

Lively cash game got going last night to, with nearly a full table playing.

Ill have the updated league during the week and will post here to show who is top.

Tuesday Night Poker

The first game to report is in the Olde Forge Wicklow Town tonight. Week 7 of the league continues tonight.

Kicking off at 8pm, reg from 7.30pm, €30 freezeout (25 plus 5 reg) Starting stack of 8k, early bird chip of 1000 for anyone in their seat by 8 and an extra 500 if you confirm by text 0862423535. Craig will text players later.

Consistently hits the 20 mark, and some new faces every week. Niall O'Connor currently leads the way in the league. Scott Quinn beat Jason Cooper heads up last week.

Finally, the Tuesday game in Jacobs Well, Rathdrum.

Each week they alternate between 2 games. 1 game is a €50 freezeout. starting stack is 62k (you are reading this correctly), blinds are 15/20 mins. no money kept behind all is paid out in prizefunds. starts at 8.30 and can run for a while with a stack this big!!

Their 2nd game is €30, with a €10 rebuy only for the first 3 levels. starting stack is not as big, i believe its around the 20k mark, and blinds are as above 15/20 mins.

Pot Limit cash game also runs when enough players are knocked out of the game. I believe they agreed on pot limit as some nights the money on the table would be ridiculous.

Good luck at the table Folks.

Star Poker Sunday Night Results

Congratulations to Derek Verhoeven who beat a field of 43 players to win this Sunday's €20 Freezeout tournament. Derek limped with A8 and the big blind checked with 75 off. Derek called a bet on a 957 flop with a straight draw. A ten of clubs on the turn improved his straight draw and gave him the nut flush draw. Derek called a shove on the turn and made his flush on the river to take first place. Well done Derek. There was no winner of the Sunday poker jackpot so the money will roll over to next week

Star Poker Saturday Night Results

Congratulations to Brian Drennan, Pamela Finglas and Sheila Brock who made a three way chop this Saturday. This Saturday's €25 Re-Entry Tournament brought in 37 runners with top 5 being paid, first place taking €269. There was no winner of this Saturday's poker jackpot so the money will roll over to next week.

Monday Night Poker

One game to report tonight, and it happens in the Olde Ship, Arklow.
Its run by Craig Ledwith from Chip & Chair Poker.

Buyin: €30 Freezeout (€25+5 reg)

9k starting stack

1k early bird

500 extra chips for confirming by text (0862423535)

20 min clock for first 6 levels, 15 min for the remaining levels (inc antes, that increase with every level)

Complimentary food at the break for all players

Cash game runs also, 50c - €1 NLH with 5% rake and capped at €10, min buyin to cash game is €25

Tournament players are also part of a league for 2 UKIPT Cork tickets worth €770 each that takes place in February 2013. Top 9 players at the end of the league qualify for the final table and top 2 of final table win a ticket each. Players chipstacks are calculated based on the amount of points they accumulate throughout the league and there are already 40 players on the league table. €40 is taken from the pot each week to make the money for the 2 tickets.

Craig will probably give me details of the league tomorrow once updated. I believe Larry Devereaux went top recently, with Reimo Reinpalu 2nd.

This is a good game and usually always gets 2 full tables. Craig is a good tournament director/organiser as I have said before he runs a good game, with a good structure. The league itself has over 40 + players on the league table.

Good Luck at the tables.
