Star Poker Bray have their €20 (15 plus 5 reg)Freezeout tournament. Kicking off at 8.00pm, you can late reg up to the end of the break at 9.30pm. Blinds are 15 minutes and you have a 10k starting stack. Refreshments available throughout and sambos served at the break (30 minute break from 9-9.30pm). Probably the busiest night in Star Poker is the Wednesday game and usually always hits 60 runners sometimes a lot more.

Cash Games Available around 10 o'clock and the tables fill up very quickly. blinds 25/50c, rake is 3% once a flop is seen and capped at €3.

There is another game in Sally O'Briens in Arklow. I had been in contact with the guy that runs it and was told he will send me on details and the structure etc, but alas no details. As far as I know its a league basis, with all new players welcome and could be a €50 freezeout or €30 plus 2 x €10 rebuys.

I do try get as much details from each nights poker as I can, but if people dont want to promote their game or have the decency to do what they say they are going to do, then it makes my job a lot harder. Dont forget this is a recreational blog, I dont get paid, its more of a hobby and puts poker around the County of Wicklow into the spotlight. If its a thing where you dont want your game mentioned, then please contact me and I will remove and report no more.

Finally there is a Fundraiser in Eire Og, Greystones tonight. You will see I have posted twice on this in the last 2 days, so have a look at the flyer from yesterday as all the details are on that. Last time they ran a poker fundraiser it got close to 40 players.

To all contributors so far, marcin from star poker, clif, craig ledwith from Chip and Chair and all the people who comment and email me details of fundraisers etc, I thank you, your help is vital with keeping the blog up to date.

Good luck at the tables.

Monday Night Report from the Olde Ship

Small report on last night.. No photos tonight unfortunately..

Another busy night tonight with 20 runners and a full cash table running.. We paid the top 5 and when it got down to 6 handed nobody wanted to leave, and play went 6 handed for an hour and a half.. As usual, once the bubble broke eliminations came thick and fast.. Our bubble boy was Tommy Byrne, who survived a good few all ins before reaching the final table but just couldn't cash. John Molloy who was eliminated before the final table got it allin bad 3 times but sucked out all 3 times most notably with Q2 v AK v AQ by flopping a 2 and turning another! But he was eliminated in 13th place when he got it in good for the first time of the night with AK v AQ but a Q flopped to give Egidijus Pukinskas the suck out.. That left Egidijus with a monster chipstack but he could only manage 5th for €30 which we went on to lose in the cash game! 4 handed took pretty long too but it was newcomer Justas who came 4th when he lost a race and took €50.. The best newcomer of the night had to be Brendan Mates who was unlucky to only come 3rd for a €70 prize.. His aggression put other players in really difficult spots and he rarely showed had to show his hands by taking it down before the river.. That left Dariusz Denisiuk and Larry Deveraux heads up.. Larry made a move and pushed with 93 and was called by Dariusz who held Ace - rag.. The Ace held and Dariusz took home €200 prize money while Larry took 110 for 2nd.

Wicklow County Football Team Poker Classic

Ill post and comment more on this (a lot more) to promote this. 1st place is guaranteeing €1500, so probably best to put Friday the 10th August in your diary if your a Poker Player, (not a bad 1st Prize).

Here is a picture of the flyer, and as I said above Ill comment and post more details every week before the event.

Eire Og Greystones Fundraiser Tomorrow Night

Just a Reminder about the fundraiser in Eire Og, Greystones, Tommorow Night. Details as per the flyer.

Tuesday Night Poker

One game tonight and it takes place in Jacobs Well Rathdrum. I have been waiting a while for details on this game and when I was finally told I thought the guy was taking the Mick out of me, but apparently not!!!

Each week they alternate between 2 games. 1 game is a €50 freezeout. starting stack is 62k (you are reading this correctly), blinds are 15/20 mins. no money kept behind all is paid out in prizefunds. starts at 8.30 and can run for a while with a stack this big!!

Their 2nd game is €30, with a €10 rebut only for the first 3 levels. starting stack is not as big, i believe its around the 20k mark, and blinds are as above 15/20 mins.

Thanks to Charles for the details. Ill update fully once Ive been informed of same.

Finally there was a game to start tonight in the Old Forge Wicklow, run by Chip & Chair Poker, however this will not start until next week. Again ill post full details once I have to hand

FUNDRAISER ALERT

Eire Og, Greystones are holding a Texas Hold'em fundraiser on the 11th July 2012, in their GAA club. Buy in €25 (20 plus 5 reg) and you can rebuy for €10 (as this is a fundraiser I can only imagine its unlimited rebuys until the first break).

If you want any further information, Please contact the numbers on the attached flyer.

There was about 30-40 runners at the last one of these and i believe they are trying to run 1 every month or 2.

Monday Night Poker

One game to report tonight, and it happens in the Olde Ship, Arklow.
Its run by Craig Ledwith from Chip & Chair Poker.

Buyin: €30 Freezeout (€25+5 reg) (Last Monday of each month they have €35 Scalp Freezeout)

9k starting stack

1k early bird

500 extra chips for confirming by text (0862423535)

20 min clock for first 6 levels, 15 min for the remaining levels (inc antes, that increase with every level)

Complimentary food at the break for all players

Cash game runs also, 50c - €1 NLH with 5% rake and capped at €10, min buyin to cash game is €25

Tournament players are also part of a league for 2 UKIPT Cork tickets worth €770 each that takes place in February 2013.. Top 9 players at the end of the league qualify for the final table and top 2 of final table win a ticket each. Players chipstacks are calculated based on the amount of points they accumulate throughout the league and there are already 40 players on the league table. €40 is taken from the pot each week to make the money for the 2 tickets.

I went along to this game last week and I was impressed with the way it is run. Craig Ledwith does a good job and overall the play is quite good. If your doing nothing tonight and are looking for a game, its worth a trip down to Arklow.

Good Luck at the tables.
