Saturday Night Poker



Star Poker Bray is on tonight and its the same tournament as a Friday Night "the double chance tournament. Be knocked out or go bust before the end of the break and you can rebuy again for €25 (20 plus 5 reg). Starts at 8.00pm and you can register up to 9.30pm. Blinds are 15 mins and a 10k starting stack. Refreshments served throughout and hot food served at the break. probably get 30 plus again tonight, maybe more as its the only game on!

Cash Tables available when enough players are around to start. blinds are 25/50c, 10% rake once a flop is seen and capped at €3 per pot. I think the minimum you can buy onto cash for is €25 and the Maximum has been increased to €500.

Rathnew Friday Night Results

Scott Quinn and Frank Higgins shared 300 each and chopped last nights game in rathnew. Dave Collard 3Rd 100, Craig Butler 4th 50. Two tables last night. Best hand before the break was a house of aces over kings. First hand peter porter and craig Butler all in after flop. Flop came k k 3.

Newtown Friday Night Results

18 players sat down to play on Friday night. Lee Lofts was "bubble boy" and got €30. Jim Connors from Wicklow came 4th and won €80. Third was Cliff Conyard who won €120. In the heads up battle between Jean Molloy and Wayne Ryan, Wayne emerged victorious and took top prize of €300 with Jean getting €200 for second. Best hand on the night was quad Kings by Dougie from Wicklow. Next weeks game will be upstairs as there is a race night in the lounge. Thanks to all the players who support our game every Friday.

Congratulations to Philip Carroll, Tadas Galkus, Philip McCormack and Mark Brady who all won free entry in to the Super Poker Event in City West this weekend. With 41 players the top 4 won tickets worth €350 each and 5th won €35.

Friday Night Poker

Action for tonight is as follows:

Doyles Rathnew, starts at 8.00pm. Seems to be getting 2 tables consistently now. €20 buy in and a starting stack of 2.5k and a 20 min clock. You can rebuy/topup 3 times and if your gone before the break you can buy a deadstack and the 3 topups for €50. All money taken in on the night goes back out in the prizefund.

The Kennedy inn, Newtown. Starts at 8.00pm, buy in is €20, with a €20 top up. early bird chip of 1k if your there before 8. Starting stack of 10k and a 20 min clock. The topup/rebuy is also for 10k. Consistently getting 2 tables now with 23 here last week and the standard of play is very high, and its a good game.

Star Poker Bray, have their €25 (20 plus 5 reg) double chance tournie. Bust or be knocked out before the end of the first break at 9.30pm and you can rebuy for a further €25. Starts at 8.00pm and you can late reg up to 9.30pm. Starting stack of 10k, 15 min blinds and usually 30/40 plus runners. Refreshments available throughout and hot food served at the break.

Cash tables run until late and usually have 2 going. 25/50c blinds. 10% rake once a flop is seen, capped at €3 per pot, again the 2 cash tables usually fill up fairly fast.

Finally there is a fundraiser in the Friar Suite in the Grand Hotel. Starts at 8pm, you can reg from 7.30. Its for East Glendalough School and the Buy is in €20 with €5 rebuys up to the break. 4k starting stack, and 20 min blinds for 6 levels and 15 after the break. So if your around with nothing to do call into the grand.

Congratulations to Ciaran McGrath who won our Wednesday €20 Winter League Freeze-out. With 77 players top prize paid €399 and the top 7 got paid. Well done also to Lorenzo Fusciardi who came seventh to extend his top spot on the league table with 1 week left to play.

Thursday Night Poker

1st off, we start in the Coach House Roundwood.
Kicks off at 8.00pm, Buy in is €35 (20 buy in, 10 top up and 5 reg). If you dont take the top-up its €25. The starting stacks are 5k and the top is the same. Blinds are 15/20. Hot food served on the break. Usually always has 2 tables. Friendly Game, new players welcome, Ritchie Cullen runs the game here.

Starting stack of 10k and a 15 minute clock. For every 10 players Star will generate a ticket for the Super Poker Event 2013 (23/24 Feb) worth €350 each. Refreshments available throughout and hot food served at the break. Could have 40 plus players here.

Cash table available usually after 10 and fill up quickly. 25/50c blinds, 10% rake once the flop is seen and capped at €3 per pot. tables usually fill up fairly fast.

Wednesday Night Poker



Kicking us off is Star Poker Bray and their €20 (15 plus 5 reg)Freezeout tournament. Kicking off at 8.00pm, you can late reg up to the end of the break at 9.30pm. Blinds are 15 minutes and you have a 10k starting stack. Refreshments available throughout and sambos served at the break (30 minute break from 9-9.30pm). The busiest night in the Poker room nearly always gets 60/70 plus, last week had 70 i believe.

Cash Games Available around 10 o'clock and the tables fill up very quickly. blinds 25/50c, rake is 10% once a flop is seen and capped at €3. Usually fills the 2 tables. The maximum buy-in for cash has now increased to €500!

Finally Whistlers league continues tonight. Start at 8.15 with reg from 7.45. €20 plus €20 freezeout, 15k starting stack, 2k early bird and an extra 1k if you confirm by text.(I'm not sure if the starting stack early bird etc are correct as I havnt heard anything regarding this game lately)

There is also another game in the 56 in Arklow (beside the carpark) James Doyle is running this game and it usually gets a table. Im not sure of the buy in, starting stack, so if you have any info please let me know. (There was talk the 56 has now closed, so this game could be no more!)

Old Forge Wicklow Tuesday Night Results

Congratulations to Larry Dias, who took down last nights game in the Old Forge. With 21 runners Larry beat Niall O'Connor heads up for the win and double points (40). Paddy Clarke was 3rd and Trevor Conyard 4th. Best hand of the Night was a Straight Flush to the King for Johnny Dunne Which got him 7k in chips at the break.

Updated league table will be posted before the weekend as there is 3/4 weeks left to run!

Tuesday Night Poker



The first game to report is in the Olde Forge Wicklow Town. Week 25 of the league continues tonight.

Kicking off at 8pm, reg from 7.45pm, €30 freezeout (25 plus 5 reg) Starting stack of 9k, early bird chip of 1000 for anyone in their seat by 8 and an extra 500 if you confirm by text 0868446556.

TONIGHT IS DOUBLE POINTS NIGHT AS LAST WEEK THERE WAS NO GAME


Best hand before the break tonight gets 5k in chips.

Consistently hits the 20 mark, with new faces coming every week. There are over 60 players in the league. Paddy Clarke currently leads the way on the league table. Kevin Tilikaenan took the 20 Points from the previous weeks game will be going for 40 this week. (60 because of the double points)

Cash Game available afterwards,50c/€1 blinds, rake 10% once a flop is seen capped at €5 per pot.

Finally, the Tuesday game in Jacobs Well, Rathdrum.

Each week they alternate between 2 games. 1 game is a €50 freezeout. starting stack is 62k (you are reading this correctly), blinds are 15/20 mins. no money kept behind all is paid out in prizefunds. starts at 8.30 and can run for a while with a stack this big!!

Their 2nd game is €30, with a €10 rebuy only for the first 3 levels. starting stack is not as big, i believe its around the 20k mark, and blinds are as above 15/20 mins.

Pot Limit cash game also runs when enough players are knocked out of the game.

Old Ship Arklow Monday Night Results

Well done to Bobby McGee who took down last nights game in the Old Ship Arklow. Bobby Beat Karl Larkin heads up for the win and the 20 points. Zenonas was 3rd. Last night was 1 of the quiter nights in arklow with only the 1 full table playing. Best hand before the break was a full house of Kings over 8s for Bobby McGee, which earned him the extra 5k in chips at the break.

Reimo Reinpalu won last weeks game and will be going for 40 points tonight.

Cash game runs also, 50c - €1 NLH with 10% rake once a flop is seen and capped at €5, min buyin to cash game is €25


The league was originally going to be for 2 UKIPT seats but a lot of the players have agreed on playing on a little longer and playing for 2 €900 side event tickets at the Irish Open. The league will now run right up to the week before the irish open and a final table of 10 will play off for the 2 €900 tickets with 3rd/4th place getting a cash prize.
