Lynskeys Friday night report

Lynskeys Report: Bigger turnout than last week with two almost full tables making a dcent prizepool of €600 as the dead stacks were snapped up. It got down to 2 girls vs 2 boys in the money. Kyle continued his success this week and ended up chopping top 2 prize money with Niall. They played a final hand for the kudos of winner and Niall filled a house of Kings and 4s for top spot. He had binked a Q to double through Kyle's AA v QQ, leading to some twitter abuse, then filled a bigger house against Roisin holding KQ v KJ on a KKTJQ board.Thats another set of back to back wins for kyle

Newtown Friday Night Results

Congratulations to Mark Taylor & Geraldine Nolan who beat a field of 10 runners and chopped last nights game in Newtown for €150 each, lee Lofts was 3rd for €80.

Saturday Night Poker

Star Poker Bray is on tonight and its the same tournament as a Friday Night "the double chance tournament. Be knocked out or go bust before the end of the break and you can rebuy again for €25 (20 plus 5 reg). Starts at 8.00pm and you can register up to 9.30pm. Blinds are 15 mins and a 10k starting stack. Refreshments served throughout and hot food served at the break. probably get 30 plus again tonight.

Cash Tables available when enough players are around to start. blinds are 25/50c, 10% rake once a flop is seen and capped at €3 per pot. I think the minimum you can buy onto cash for is €25 and the Maximum is €200

Star Poker Thursday Night Results

Congratulations to Malachy Kiernan who won the Thursday €30 Scalp tournament. With 35 players top prize paid €280 and the top 5 got paid. Malachy called an all-in shove pre-flop with A/9 Hearts against A/6 Spades. A flop of A/8/6 put him behind but an 8 on the Turn and a 3 on the River gave him two pair with a higher kicker. Malachy also cashed in for another €20 in Scalps. No Jackpot winner so it rolls-over to next Thursday.

Friday Night Poker

Action for tonight is as follows:

Doyles Rathnew, starts at 8.00pm. Seems to be getting 2 tables consistently now. €20 buy in and a starting stack of 2.5k and a 20 min clock. You can rebuy/topup 3 times and if your gone before the break you can buy a deadstack and the 3 topups for €50. All money taken in on the night goes back out in the prizefund. This is the 7/8th week of the Christmas roll over with €200 off the prizepool being held back. Play 7 out of the 12 weeks to qualify for the final night and your chance to win €1000 (i think the winner alone will win €1000!), right before christmas.

The Kennedy inn, Newtown. Starts at 8.00pm, buy in is €20, with a €20 top up. early bird chip of 1k if your there before 8. Starting stack of 10k and a 20 min clock. The topup/rebuy is also for 10k. Usually gets 2 tables and the standard of play is very high, and its a good game.

Star Poker Bray, have their €25 (20 plus 5 reg) double chance tournie. Bust or be knocked out before the end of the first break at 9.30pm and you can rebuy for a further €25. Starts at 8.00pm and you can late reg up to 9.30pm. Starting stack of 10k, 15 min blinds and usually 30 plus runners. I believe last week there was over 50 runners. Refreshments available throughout and hot food served at the break. Think the number hit 30/40 here tonight.

Cash tables run until late and usually have 2 going. 25/50c blinds. 10% rake once a flop is seen, capped at €3 per pot, again the 2 cash tables usually fill up fairly fast.

Also a game in Lynskeys of Arklow. Starting at 9pm, 10k stack, no reg 30 freezeout. No idea on structure/blinds.

Finally if your around tonight and not going to any of the above games, theres a fundraiser in the Leitrim Lounge Wicklow, for Shamrock Celtic. Buy in is €25, with unlimited €10 rebuys up to the break. starting stack of 4k with 20 min blinds for 6 levels, and 15 min blinds after the break. top up also available at the break. 50% of the buy in/top-ups/rebuys will go to the club and 50% to the pot.

Have a good weekend and good luck at the tables.

Star Poker Wednesday Night Results

Congratulations to Donal Kelly and Daniel Mahile who split the Wednesday $20 Freeze-out tournament. With 64 players top spot paid $355 and the top 7 got paid. No Jackpot winner so $1165 is up for grabs next Wednesday.

Whistlers Wednesday Night Results

Last night in whistlers we had 9 players down for the tournament and the top 3 were paid. Alice murphy won the tournament with ease after picking up a big chip lead after knocking Conor Hogan and Jim Connors out in the same hand when the board came A10 10 and jim shoved with the ace, Alice called and Conor Shoved behind with Alice snap calling and showing K10 vs Conors 8 10 and Jims A2 and the board running out blank. Alice took 160 for 1st Johnny Dunne took 80 for 2nd and Brian Connolley got 45 for his troubles. A good Cash game ensued from 11.30 and Ran late and DEEP finishing up playing like €2/5 instead of 25c/50c with well over €1000 on table. Once again Thanks to Se and Liam in Whistlers for accomodating us and adding money to the league!

N.B. Next two weeks are last two weeks of the league and will be double points so hopefully a big turn out for the €1000 Gaurenteed league final!

The winners will be announced on the 23rd December 2012 at the Deepstack Event in the Grand Hotel Wicklow (Details to be posted very soon). There will be 5 awards, nothing serious just something small(piece of glass/trophy) and the categories are as follows:

4. Best Cash Game Player

Nominees: Open Category

5. Biggest Nit/Luckbox Award

Nominees: Open Category

Nominations can be emailed to wicklowpkrscene@gmail.com with a nomination for each category if you like. I would prefer if you didnt comment as people can see who and what you are voting for. One vote per person per category rules apply. if this is going to be done lets do it right, thats why I have left the last category as a bit of a joke. It is a bit of fun but seeing as nothing like this has happened around Wicklow before, for the first 4 awards im asking for them to be taken serious please.

Ill post the same post every week up to the event, so happy voting and ill also update the details of the deepstack shortly!

Cheers.
