Newtown Friday Night

Small Report from last night in Newtown. I left when it was heads up between ritchie and greg. both seemed to have equal chips. On the final table i pushed with 66, was called by 44 and a,k and greg hit a set of 4s on the flop. Earlier in the night I made the biggest fold prelop, as I raised preflop with KINGS, Dominic pushed all in and was instacalled by ritchie so I knew one of them had ACES and I was right as Dom had JACKS and Ritchie the Aces. Low and behold first card on the flop a King!!! great fold preflop but in the end I would have been monster Chip leader and Ricthie would have been gone. I did make a hero call when Beaudine pushed all in for 11k, when i had hit top pair, top kicker on a 10,9, 5 rianbow board, ace on the turn and another 5 on the river. Unlucky BO!!

Good nights game with prizes for 1st to 4th 300, 200, 100, 50.

Poker Wednesday Night

Kicking us off is Star Poker Bray and their €20 (15 plus 5 reg)Freezeout tournament. Kicking off at 8.00pm, you can late reg up to the end of the break at 9.30pm. Blinds are 15 minutes and you have a 10k starting stack. Refreshments available throughout and sambos served at the break (30 minute break from 9-9.30pm). Probably the busiest night in Star Poker is the Wednesday game and usually always hits 60 runners sometimes a lot more. Cash Games Available around 10 o'clock and the tables fill up very quickly. blinds 25/50c, rake is 3% once a flop is seen and capped at €3.

There is another game in Sally O'Briens in Arklow. I have been in contact with the guy that runs it and he will send me on details and the structure etc. Once he does I will update here straight away. As far as I know its a league basis, with all new players welcome and could be a €50 freezeout or €30 plus 2 x €10 rebuys.

Good luck at the tables.

Report from Arklow Monday Night

Small report from Monday night in the olde ship.

Our game was back to decent numbers this week with 18 runners.. Was a busy night for us with a full cash table running also. We paid the top 4 and when the bubble burst it was a quick finish after that. Reimo Reinpalu, who's had a great couple of weeks continued with another cash but it could have been better when his AJ lost to K8 with the latter hand flopping 2 pair. That eliminated Reimo in 4th for a €50 cash.. Larry Deveraux followed shortly for an €80 cash so that left newcomer Carl McBride up against last weeks runner up James Doyle.. Unfortunately for James, he couldn't better it this week and when Carl pushed James allin in the very early stages of heads up James called with A9. Carl had him dominated with AJ and nobody paired their kickers and the AJ held up. That gave James his second runner up place in as many weeks and €100 prizemoney and Carl the win for €180 in his first tournament with us! Bothe these players made the biggest leap in the league table with James going from 10th place to 4th and Carl entering the leaderboard in 17th place ahead of 21 other players! Reimo Reinpalu remains well out in front and is the only player to pass the 100 points mark in the league but with still a long way to go any of the 38 players can still make the final 9, as well as any newcomers.

(I ventured down to this game on Monday myself, and its a well ran game I have to say. The blind structure are good, especially after the break when the antes kick in and go up with every level, and the standard of play is not bad either, so fair play to Craig who runs a good game and worth checking out on a monday night)

Monday Night Poker

One game to report tonight, and it happens in the Olde Ship, Arklow.
Its run by Craig Ledwith from Chip & Chair Poker. (If you look through the site, there was a report from last week and also a week beforehand a picture of the setup)

Buyin: €30 Freezeout (€25+5 reg) (Last Monday of each month they have €35 Scalp Freezeout)

9k starting stack

1k early bird

500 extra chips for confirming by text (0862423535)

20 min clock for first 6 levels, 15 min for the remaining levels

Complimentary food at the break for all players

Cash game runs also, 50c - €1 NLH with 5% rake and capped at €10, min buyin to cash game is €25

Tournament players are also part of a league for 2 UKIPT Cork tickets worth €770 each that takes place in February 2013.. Top 9 players at the end of the league qualify for the final table and top 2 of final table win a ticket each. Players chipstacks are calculated based on the amount of points they accumulate throughout the league and there are already 40 players on the league table. €40 is taken from the pot each week to make the money for the 2 tickets.

Good Luck at the tables.

Friday Night in Bray

Derek won €312 and has also qualified to win our Poker Jackpot next week, where he'll have the chance to win an extra €180.
