Refreshments served throughout and hot food served at the break.

Newtown Friday Night Results
Fourteen players took part in the Friday game in MKI. The jackpot was €460. David Brewster finished fourth on €50. Steve McCormick finished third on €80. Keith Doyle and Shane Farrell chopped the top two prizes and got €165 each. Best hand on the night was Steve McCormicks quad Queens, so he gets a free buy in on Feb 21st.

First off thanks to everyone that played last night. We now have over 26 members in the group and its still growing. Last nights $11 game had 18 runners and we had a 5c/10c cash table being played for most of the night to.
The top 3 players were paid and congrats to Paddy the donk who beat DVH10 heads up. Jacob was 3rd. i think the winner got $90.
For me it wasnt about the money, personally its a bit of fun and a laugh amongst the local poker community so instead of playing against half russia/brazil etc your playing against mostly players that know each other.
Ive been asked to maybe change the game to one rebuy etc but ill decide over the next few days and post a new schedule.

Each week they alternate between 2 games. 1 game is a €50 freezeout. starting stack is 62k (you are reading this correctly), blinds are 15/20 mins. no money kept behind all is paid out in prizefunds. starts at 9.00 and can run for a while with a stack this big!!
Their 2nd game is €30, with a €10 rebuy only for the first 3 levels. starting stack is not as big, i believe its around the 20k mark, and blinds are as above 15/20 mins.
Pot Limit cash game also runs when enough players are knocked out of the game.
Finally, wicklowpkrscene is having its first pokerstars homegame tonight starting at 9pm. its an $11 dollar tournament to start off and we can go bigger the next time out. hopefully get 10 plkus runners!

Today is the Sunday €75 +1 Re-Entry Monthly tournament with 20,000 starting stack and 30 minute blind levels in Star Poker Bray. Kicks off at 1.00pm with late reg until 4.15pm. This is a great tournament with top prize normally about €1,300 or €1400.
