1 game tonight folks and its the 10th week and final night of the Monday Night Old Ship Poker League.
Unfortunately this will be the final week/game in the old ship. The numbers of late have not been great and therefore i have decided to call it a day with this game. Other games are running around Arklow and attracting bigger numbers on different nights. I do not want to go into competetion with other games, which is why my games run when there is no other games on locally.
On a personal note its sad to see this game die a death, as not so long ago, there used to be 2 tables and in my opinion this is one of the stronger games around the county, with some excellent tournament and cash players.
JP McCann has his Mini WSOP in tallaght, usually around November and the main event is usually a €400 buy in. Niall O'Connor topped the league and cannot be caught and he has now won the ticket.
The buy in is €40 (35 plus 5 reg), freezeout, €15k starting stack, with a 1k early bird and 1k bonus chip for texting your entry to 0868446556. Registration is from 7.30, the game starts at 7.45 sharp as we need to finish by 12! Blinds are 15 mins before and after the break with a 10 minute break after the 1st 6 levels.
Karl Larkin won last weeks game and the 20 points. Tonight he will be looking for the bonus of 40 points for winning 2 weeks in a row.
I would like to see as many tonight seeing as its the end of an era, so hopefully we will go out with a bang!!
